I have understodd that of twelve living, holdero of the Medal of Congress
in Texas, that six were hold by Anglo Americans, five by Latin Americans
and one by a pure-blood Indian. X hope it vill not be too much trouble
for you to give me definite information about this.
I have already gone on record with my Senator for adequate appropriation
for your body and especially for the confirmation of Hon. R. L. Smith
as Chairman. I understand that the chairman alone gas to be confirmed.
