Dr. Fritz Kraemer
Mr. Kissinger
10:00 a . m. , 9-3-69
Dr. Kraemer said the problem is the following. Col.
Haig has been tapped to go to the Executive Management
Course at Harvard. The Army checked this and said quite
rightly that they could not ask Haig himself. If you
say to me it is out of the question, you don't have to
do anything in writing. The people who did the checking
have to make a decision today.
K said it is absolutely out of the question, I need
him where he is. Kraemer said alright, I will say that
he is of most use where he is and that Dr. Kissinger
will not let him go. K said fine.
K asked Dr. Kraemer what he thought of the international
situation. Dr. Kraemer said a few words on the subject.
Dr.:Kraemer said when you come back - on September 8th,
I would advise that we get together as soon as possible.
I will be glad to see you late at night or any other time.
Kissinger said he would get in touch with him.
