Telecon Jonathan Moore 9:35 a. m. 10/31/69 M was taking the call for Marshall Green who had to go to meeting. Green would like to get the clearance on telegram back to Byrode. K mentioned that he was not the person to go to on this. He had to send the cable to Ehrlichman. Moore understood this, but if we didn't get some specific suggestions back to Byrole we won't be able to get him to the committee. K asked if there couldn't be a meeting of this committee. Moore said they have been making suggestions and talking to Byrode and got the committee to accept recommendations. This is just a complete reversal of what he said before and they are completely puzzled as to why. There is no indication any where that would indicste a reason. Our own Philippine people don't agree with the assessment Moor's feeling about another meeting of the steering committee was that it would take too much time to bring it about for one thing. What the telegram says is what K indicated he wanted. It represents a recitation of what was discsussed in the committee. They appreciated bringing Ehrlichman in to it but didn't agree to have another meeting. K said he would check on it.
