Telecon Secretary Laird 6:10 ₽. m. 11/25/69 Laird thought the press conference went very well today. There seem to be only a couple of problems. At HEW some of the stories they are carrying are that we are going to (m issed ) Kleindenst wanted the college deferment dowe away with. Laird said he testified two weeks ago in the Se nate that we would make those recommendations after the Security Council had passed. XWexwood He said he would be ready in February. Laird thought there were too many people with different soxix stories and going in different directions. Laird said he would call Kleindenst on it. K agreed. Laird thought that Packard should report to the President on his trip. K agreed and said he would work on setting it up for early of part of next week. Laird reminded K that he would be leaving for Burssels on Tuesday, for a we SO K said he would try to do it on Monday.
