Z said in your discussions with the President over the weekend, did you
get any indication that there would be an opening statement? K aid no.
Z said he's going directly to questions without an opening statement? K
said yes, if he doesn't, it would be absolutely new.
Z said he want to that thing last night. The response was absolutely great.
Z said everyone was saying they were the best speeches in 10 years; K
great; Harlow good. Z aaid it was a real plus. K said we had such a bad
image; it helps to go the other way.
