Telecon IO Peter Flanigan 12/11/69 10:18 a. m. F said that paper prepared by Standard of Jersey; it's supposed to be the only one around. K said if I know my staff they are probably staf- fing the living daylights out of it. F said tell your staff not to discuss it with the task force. F said Scranton is coming in. K said that means he'll come crying in here afterwards. F said why, I'm not going to do anything to make him cry. K said the last time he was offered a job he came in here physically weeping. K said it's incredible that that man should have been considered as President--such - a taxing job. F said right. K said be gentle. F said yes, I'll go easy on him.
