K: I'm sorry it didn't work out today.
B: I was giving evidence to the McCloy Committee today. Did they make
sense with the P?
K: Reasonable/
B: How's life treating you?
K: Okay. I hope you'll remember me at Oxford when they run me ouf of here.
B: I think you have things under control.
K: On Vietnam we are ahead for the first time.
B: And SALT?
K: And SALT
The Middle East is the only that one that's not under
firm control.
B: And there's noghing immediate brewing in Europe.
K: I think that's right. What is your impression?
B: I was here 6 weeks ago. I saw the P the day after the speech. I have
a feeling that Vietnam is much more under control. The press was very angry
at Agnew's attack, but it has taken it to heart.
K: That's my impression. Have youx started your new duties.
B: Yes, in a planning capacity. It's a challenging sort of job.
K: Yes.
B: I am up-dating it in many ways. Seminars rather than lectures and a new
set of faces.
K: How long will you be there, two years?
B: Yes.
K: And then you go to Oxford?
B: Yes.
