R: I wanted to call you and tell you how pleased I was with Rogers'
speech.
K: Well you have had a little to do with it.
R: In any case, I thought it was very good. What kind of reaction have
you gotten?
K: Well, the Israelis are not in complete accord with us.
R: That's the best thing that could happen. Have you had any indirect
reaction from the Israelis?
K: Yes, some of the moderates are pleased, and the Lebanese and
K: Another matter--we have had private talks with the Romanians,
They are trying to get credit. I understand they 've had talks with various
banks. There are some things that we want them to do for us.
R: I think we are probably closer than other banks, and I'll find out.
K: I've also talked with the Bank of America. I guess I could talk
with Peters (? ) about it.
R: I'll check and let you know.
K: Wonderful.
