K: Dwight, I called about the breakfast with Mansfield.
C: Right, 8:00 o'clock.
K: Does he want to tell him about our report that early?
C: He said 8:00 on Wednesday.
K: He doesn't want to talk about our report?
C: He wants to talk about the State of the World message. It was
an instruction, Henry.
K: You have called Mansfield?
C: Mansfield has been called.
K: And does he know what it is about?
C: Yes.
K: This will be a disaster.
C: We will have to back-track. Are you going to talk to the President
tonight?
K: Tomorrow morning. That was what Harlow said we must never do.
He said they must know last. No one thought he would ask for a meeting
with Mansfield.
C: I will check Timmons and see what Mansfield was told.
K: If there is just a meeting, that is easy.
C: I know the President thinks it was to do that.
K: Well, we can handle the breakfast.
C: I just will have to come up with something to say.
K: All right.
