K: I am doing an annual report for the President on the world situation. I
find it's beyond the State Dept. and my staff to write something on the
Committee of the Modern Society, even though you stole if from me in the
best Harvard tradition.
M: Do you want us to do something?
K: If you would -- two or three pages. ? ? ? ? and how you have gone about
it and where you are going with it.
M: Every country except Norway is signing up for this or that.
K: It's a damn good idea. That speach of the President's last April and now
everyone is talking about it.
M: I have said that.
K: Explain how it is organized.
M: When do you need it.
K: Tomorrow afternoon.
M: I will have it for you then.
K: Two or three pages. Four if it's absolutely necessary but we'd prefer
no more than three.
