K: Two things. One is, can we see to it that McCain and others keep quiet
about where we are sending troops?
P: I will try.
K: The second thing is that Mel, Wheeler, the President and I talked yesterday
about ABM and where we are heading. Would you set up a task force? To make
sure we all say the same thing.
P: I though I would get Foster.
K: Harlow suggested Buzzard?
P: I will check with him although I think Foster is a good man.
K: We will not surface anything on the Hill til we get straightened out.
P: I think we had better get as much home work done as we can.
K: But not at the Hill.
P: No, of course, Not until Mel goes up.
K: Could you do one on the Whightman proposal?
P: What about ACDA?
K: We don't want ACDA or State in now.
P: We will get something going right away.
K: Then we'll bring in State and ACDA.
