TELCON
D. Rockefeller/Kissinger
afternoon
5/2/70
R: I'm coming to Wabhington on Monday and staying on Tuesday. Council on
Latin America. I wondered if you would like to have dinner Monday night.
K: How about breakfast on Tuesday?
R: Nelson's or somewhare else?
K: Can I check what the problems will be here on Tues? There might be reason
to be here near a phone.
R: I will be in touch on Monday.
K: Fine.
R: How are things going in Camboda.
K: As we expected. We are picking up caches.
R: Making headway?
K: And very light casualties. We have a tank battalion that tried to bivouc and
they fell into a cache.
R: It was courageous.
K: We had no choice. I will see you when you are down.
R: I will be in touch on Monday.
