Y: Three things I wanted to mention to you: I wonder, first, how
things stand at your end on the idea of sending a letter to the President
K: I've just cleared it. I don't know whether a formal word has
reached the Departmentj but it's been cleared. just a matter of a
phone call.
Y: Good. Thank you. Second, can you give a little more push
to this Presidential commission?
K: I''ve agreed to xxxxx the list you and Rogers worked out. Our
political people had to see it, as a formality, to see if there's anyone they
object to. They won't add anybody to it. I'11 have it cleared by the end of
the week.
Y: Thank you. Will there be an NSC meeting on the Ptereson Report?
K: No, the President wants to do it on the basis of written comments.
So if you have any views, we'd appreciate your writing them.
Y: All right. I11 get them in.
