K: A good friend of mine asked me to see this fellow that is starving to death.
While our public relations people are opposed I am for it. I understand you
know him.
G? Yes, I met him.
K: I have his number -- 387-8061. If it could be done without bu publicity I would
like to tell him that if he is fasting to get us out of Cambodia, it's a stupid
sacrifice.
G: Over there or in your office?
K: I will go to his house.
G: He wants to see the President.
K: OUt of the question. Let me see him first. It won't happen unless I insist
and I must see him first.
G: A minister buddy of xlxxx McDonnell said he would end the fast if he saw the
President.
K: Maybe I can get him to stop his fast. Today or tommorrow? Invite him
to lunch!
G: He is probably out there now. I will locate him and set something up.
Either late tonight or early tomorrow morning?
K: to morrow morning I could do it.
G: I will set it up.
