You haven't delivered my great friend at State.
F:
He will be an Ambassador-at-Large; but I haven't gotten
agreement that he can have the job at State since he will be talking
to defense, scientific, etc., types.
K:
An Executive Vice President of some big banking firm and you
don't have the guts to fire someone. Another subject: I had here
the head of a New York investment/stock firm -- Mitchell-Hutchins
[Donald Marron]. He is very bright and says he wants to help do
something for the President here and would like to meet you. Can
you see him this afternoon?
F:
I have to go to the Hill now which will keep me busy most of
the afternoon. However, I will have my girl call your secretary so
they can set a time.
K:
He is seeing McCracken at 3:40, so how about 4:30?
F:
I will have my secretary get in touch with yours right away
to set a date.
