SANITIZED COPY MSS DIV LIB CONG. SECRET TELECON The President/Mr. Kissinger 9:12 a. m., Wednesday, June 17, 1970 P: On the Cambodian report. Is there anything new on that? K: They are continuing the hit-and-run raids. I talked to Packard and Moorer last night about increasing the ARVN, VNAF and US air efforts. P: Have our' people gotten moving on any of these things we discussed on Monday? On arms, intelligence, and on getting people in there? SANITIZED K: Per Sec 3.3(b)(6)(1) P: Some Cambodian Brigadier General says there are five divisions ready to pounce on Phnom Penh. I doubt this, but that kind of talk is bad. It presents psychological problems. What is that Colonel doing that we sent out? K: I will check. P: I wish you would. They sit there in Phnom Penh and they are not really getting out. That Colonel is supposed to get in there and see what's needed this week. Call each of those people that were in the meeting. Call them this morning. I read the report of actions taken thus far last night, and it was too skimpy. I want an up-date report at 5:00 -- on intelligence, arms and what you have done to get VN in. SANITIZED Per See 3.3(b)(6)(1) K: Yes, sir. P: When? K: This week. P: I want it done today. Or I will have to do something more drastic. I ordered these things three weeks ago and nothing is moving. I want Packard and Moorer on top of this. Keep on them. Call them this DECLASSIFIED E.O. 12958, as amended, Sect 3.5 SECRET NLN 07-20/2111 Persec 3.3(b)(6)(1) PerLtr. 3/26/12 P. H NARA. Date 4/23/12
