J.K. Galbraith/Kissinger
2:45 pm
6/22/70
K: I called you --
G: I have a brilliant thought for you. I think your troubles are over. The
economic situation is SO bad no one will think of you any more.
K: I don't care about my personal problem. I never felt threatened by my
colleagues.
G: That journey was the most ridiculous thing since the New estament.
K: I wondered if you were free for lunch on Wed.
G: We dropped -- our letters crossed. Your office suggested the 11th. *
K: I will be here. Will that ge good for you?
G: I am doing the TODAY show. I can drop down.
K: I want to see you and tell you you've been a good friend.
G: Just get those soldiers out.
K: It's a complicated thing.
G:
I think it's the 11th. There's a letter thexxxxxbba
coming today or
tomorrow.
K: What every it is, I look forward to it.
*In talking with Galbraith's office, they inidcated that he would be in NY
on Friday, July 10, and would be coming here for lunch.
