Z: What is this Rogers --?
K: The SOB is trying to prove that everything the WH has done since Jan. 20,
1969, has been wrong and he is trying to save the country. This is hardly the
thing to S ay.
Z: There must be some unseen subtelty that my lack of foreign policy experience
doesn't comprehend. Is it part of some grand strategy?
K: There's not grand . It's a stupid statement because it will be used to
prove we haven't tried in the negotiations.
Z: I will say, we have felt we have tried to go to the negotiations road to peace.
This could lead to a question on the Indochina thing. I will say we have not heard
anything official.
K: FYI - it now looks a farse.
