P: First let me thank you again for yesterday.
K: My pleasure.
P: And I wanted to inform you that Bartzel (?) called this morning.
He wants to come here and see you and the President. He wants to come
the first week in September.
K: We'll be in San Clemente during the first week in September.
P: Yes, he wonders if you and the President could see him in San
Elemente.
K: The President doesn't see anybody but head S of State as a routine.
So I can't guarantee that he'll see Bartzel anyplace. But I will 80 my best
to
see him. And it might be better for the President there where the
schedule isn't so heavy.
P: But you will see him?
K: Yes. But I am getting nervous about German politicians. I want
it to be clear that he's coming to Los Angeles and while he's there I will
see him. He's not coming to see me. If he's in Los Angeles anyway I
will be delight to see him and will talk with the President and he might be
able to see him.
P: Excellent. See you in September.
