J: I just heard on the radio this morning that DOD is doing a briefing
on these raids.
K: I heard that on the radio too. I don't see any sense in it.
J: No, that's what I was wondering about. What I had in mind was
about Thailand. Under is coming in with a cry of anguish that we have to
tell the Thais something because we are using their bases.
K: I think we should tell the Thais something.
J: Before they read it in the papers.
K: I am going to get after Laird.
J: If he could call me or I call him about what he's going to do.
K: Let me call him first and get back to you.
J: I thinkthe stories came out well. Tad Szulc saying the Secretary
of State was involved.
K: Yes, they came out well, if we can all just keep our mouths shut
now. I don't mean you. I will get back to you.
