H: That is what I hear. He says now that he is not going to do anything.
K: You know that I am going back to Washington on Friday and will
come back on Monday. Then I would go back with you on Friday.
Mosbacher called and he is interested in OAS.
H: Did you tell him
talk to Rogers?
K: I did not tell him anything. I didn't know if you had talked to Rogers
or if you wanted me to say anything. If you could mention it to Rogers.
Another thing, Habib wants to be out of there
because of the school
year. Perhaps we could give him the Ambassador of Korea or Australia.
The President practically promised a good post to him on 3 or 4 occasions.
XXXX It would be good for these other guys to see that someone was
rewarded - it would help.
