K: I have had a talk with the President. The Berlin reaction was what I predicted.
D: On the first or second?
K: On language.
D: On that one.
K: On specifics I will talk to you next week after the weekend conversation. On the
letter I -- many positive aspects in it and only one problem that concerns the Presider
is that point I made to you on which I will have a compromise suggest that will try
to meet your point.
D: Mon. or Tues. ?
K: Monday. I want to go on vacation and the President is going the end of the week
and he has to make a decision with respect to it within another week. Do you think
you could get an answer from your govt. within a few days after I get word to you?
D: It depends on how
it is.

K: It's NOX the frame work of what I discussed.
D: On Monday I will try to get it by the end of the week. I WXX couldn't give you any
ideas -- but I will do my best in this case.
K: They don't meetik before Friday anyway.
D: Unless something special. There was a meeting scheduled on Friday when I
left Moscow.
K: When the President is on the West Coast. There will be meetings out there.
Towards the end of the week would be fine. If you could alert your people. We will
try to be constructive in our response and try to handle the defense (?) and offer
a compromise that's reasonable.
D: When I receive it I will try to explain to them.
K: I thought you might agree before you saw it.
D: I didn't find you in such a state of mind. That's what I thought X you would be
in. Expecially when I brought you a good answer. I was under the impression that
