TELECON
Vice President
5/24/71 10:35 a. m.
A: The American Greek community is solidly behind that government.
I dont understand it; I haven't been there. But it's good from our overall
standpoint. Sinne I have the right-wing image anyway. Waiting till later in
the year
the more proximate to elections the worse it gets.
K: But can't we put you down for Indianapolis anyway?
A: Oh yes, I told him I would. I'm just joking.
K: It wasn't my idea.
A: I told them I'd do that on the condition that they give me a
decent speech so that I don't have to spend days worrying about that.
K: Okay, that's fair and I promise to raise that Greek thing again.
A: Let me kfxxxw know soon. It's not too far off.
K:
have great enthusiasm for it. It's no problem about your going
to Europe and your family going to Greece.
A: Suppose my family went to Greece and I met them sompplace else.
Where should I meet them?
K: That can be easily arranged.
A: Check the alternatives out.
K: That I am sure. I would feel it outrageous to suggest that your
family couldn't visit your ancestral country.
A: Of course I would much rather go myself.
K: Of course.
A: Check on it and let me know as soon as you can.
K: Yes.
