K: I'm find.
R: A little tired. But I think it worked out well.
K: Yes, the coverage was excellent.
R: We were talking this morning. Haig suggested to Thieu that he
should bring Ky back to the government after the election and one of the
places to use him was as Ambassador to the U.S. I am opposed to that.
K: I don't know anything about
I talked to Al about this
part of it but
R: Not the U. S.
It would be a catastrophe. He would be very
bad here.
K: And he wouldn't be all that popular. Now he is sort of a hero to
some for having been squeezed out but
R: No, he is looked down on in this country.
K: I have to talk to Al to find out exactly what he said.
R: But in the meantime we just have Bunker say we don't think it is
desirable to have Thieu do this.
K: Let me find out what Al said. I think if anything he said it as an
illustration.
R: But sometimes once you get these things into peoples' heads
K: But unless there is something which eludes me, I agree with you.
