TELECON Lloyd Shearer 10/5/71 6:35pm S: Do you have, without revealing anything, a time schedule when you will be back in this country? We are thinking that New York wants to spend a lot of time promoting the Parade thing. Will you be back after the 24th, by the 24th or before? K: More likely after than before. It's not fixed. What do you prefer? S: We prefer you to come back the day the story breaks, the 24th. That is the perfect combination if you arrive that day. K: You would rather have me in China or back when you have that story out? S: No, they want to say there will be several radio and TV stations and they want to say something about Henry Kissinger. The best timing would be when he sets foot again on American soil. K: For that I would have to come back on a Sunday. S: We wanted to find out when is the closest to that. K: What do you prefer? S: It would be better to come back after than before. K: To come back after the 24th would be safer than alter the 31th because that's the end of the month. I cah't tell you k but X by the terms of our announcement itIwould have to be back before the 31st. S: Then I am right to assume you will be back some time in the week of the 24th to the 31st? K: Yes, of course these things can slip. You are not writing about this now? S: No, it's finished. There is nothing we can add to what you've seen. K: You can't take out that word "love. 11? S: You must have at one time. K: That makes it a little strong. S: There are all kinds of love; surely you love her as the mother of your childden. K: I'm more likely coming back after the 24th than after the 31st, but I don't want you to hold me up if it slips.
