TELCON Zeigler/Kissinger 6:30 p. .m. 11/3/71 Z: Helen is going to do a cute story of you keeping Clare Luce waiting for lunch. You were with the President and you started wiggling and looking at your watch and the President asked and you said you were keeping Clare Luce waiting. He said to go. The moral of the story is don't keep a lady waiting. Apparently Sans Souci tipped Helen off. K: That's interesting. I don't want them to talk so much. Z: Or maybe Clare did. I didn't want you see it and wonder where it came from/ K: She (H. Thomas) doesn't appear in the Washington papers anyway. Z: Well, some pick it up.
