Pres: It's a 2,000 word
.
It's at least 30 minutes so I'd prefer
You can tell your fellow -- Lord the main thing is I just can;t
go through the agony of trying to do a speech in Moscow. I want this
done so I can just get up and read the son-of-a-bitch.
HAK: Exactly.
Pres: It doesn't make any difference how I look to the Russian people.
Don't you agree.
HAK: XIX I agree completely.
Pres: What I have in that business about mutual respect
k(end of tape 1)
HAK: But we also have to make sure that our peaceniks don't put so much
stuff in there that all our allies will
Pres: Well, that's why you've got to take a hard look at the draft because
you're going to be head over heels in Moscow.
HAK: I'm going to get on it today.
Pres: What I meant is get Lord to give you the substance and then you give
the tone to whoever is
maybe Price or someone.
HAK: Right.
Pres: The difficulty is that you've got both Price and Saffire.
AAK: Are they both coming on the trip.
Pres: Yes. I figured that this time we just wanted to be sure that we had
everybody that was necessary to work on arrival statements.
HAK: The best is Andrews.
Pres: Well, we could take him too. He's more flexible, is that it.
HAK: That's right. I mean Price just can't do anything fast. And what he
does is too much. I mean he can do a great domestic oration. Saffire is OK.
Pres: I may just tell Bob to bring Andrews too. Because it's alright to have
extra people here and Andrews can go as a member of the press thing and then
we can
because he worked very well on these last two speeches.
