Mrs. Annenberg/Mr. Kissinger
9:33 a.m., December 19, 1972
A:
Henry Good morning, how are you?
K:
Okay. How are you?
A:
Fine. My little spies tell me that you're going to be on the desert.
K:
I may be, yes.
A:
Well, if you are, Walter and I would adore it if you would like to
spend New Year's Even with us. We're having a small party and
if you are alone or have a girl or anything, we would adore to have
you and I just thought I had better give you the message myself.
K:
Well, aren't you nice. I don't know, first, whether I am going to
come or if I will stay through New Year's Eve, but if I do, I would
love to accept.
A:
Are you coming for Christmas or would you be there after Christmas?
K:
I'll be there the day after Christmas.
A:
Well, let me give you our private number because it's not listed.
K:
Okay.
A:
It's area code 714, 328-1196. And Walter said to please tell you
we would adore having you. A lot of your friends are going to be
there. The Godsdans are coming and the Firestones and a lot
of other fun friends.
K:
Oh, terrific! Well, I'd love to come
A:
So if you would like it, we would adore to have you.
K:
If I'm still out there then, -- I may have to go back on the 31st
A:
I'll tell you what, Henry, when you get there, why don't you call
us cause I won't know whether you're coming or not coming.
K:
I'll call you
A:
And even if you don't stay that long, maybe you'll come over and
have dinner with us and see a movie one night.
