And are you acting on it?
S:
We are acting on it. We have sent out warnings, one. Two, as you
may know, we have a security man, which despite State protestations,
we have sent along with the individual.
K:
Absolutely.
S:
Thirdly, we are counting on the Shah to recognize that he has a vulner-
ability there and we are straightening that out, making sure that the
protective arrangements into Tehran are adequate.
K:
No, we have not told the Shah any of this.
S:
Um-humm. Well, we will not talk to him about that. We will just
ascertain that the protective arrangements --
K:
No, you can tell him about the information. You can't give him the source.
S:
right. Good.
K:
Or do you want us to send us a message to the Shah?
S:
No, we shall do it.
K:
But if it comes from us, then it's obvious that it came from a very high
source.
S:
We shall tend to that one immediately.
K:
Okay. So it's in your hands. We won't tell the Department.
S:
Well, not if you don't want it in the press.
K:
We certainly don't want it in the press.
