Freddy, how are you?

Fine--we had expected to see you at the State dinner, but we never
got there.
HK:
Oh what a pity.
FB:
The one for Willy Brandt, you know?
HK:
Yes, what happened.
FB:
Well the production people-- the writers and directors and all of that.
In connection with the spectacular came out here and had to work here
for four days and to put the thing together and they'v started
rehearsals now.
HK:
What spectacular is that? Oh--the "Woman of the year" thing?
FB:
Yes. And I'm just checking with you to see if you'll be with us now on
the 14th--I see in the papers where you are supposed to be off today.
HK:
Yes, but there is a prettygood chance that I'll be here.
FB:
Oh that's great--I'll tell you Mamie is going to join us that night--you
got my letter didn't you?
HK:
Yes, who is?
FB:
So Henry you can bring as many girls as you want because I assure you
the ones I got are a little bit over the hill.
HK:
I was just going to say this doesn't sound like a great attraction to me.
FB:
No no, but we have to stay within the framework of the show.
HK:
Is that after the show?
FB:
No no, I'll tell you what it is Henry. We are meeting in the atrium where
we are having cocktails and--for instance, Kay Graham will be there,
Rose Kennedy all those--Strause and Shirley Chisholm and SO forth.
And we're having cocktails and dinner and then the rest of the people-
and entertainers that are on the show--they'll be there too. And
we will have dinner and Javits and Mamie, the Harrimans--no, no
they aren't coming to the dinner--they're coming to the show; but we
will have a table of about 14. And then we have dinner there about 730 and
