K. Can't reach Scali for possible instructions. I have reliable
information that the Security Council is meeting tonight. It was
called by the Kenyans who want to make a speech. Zayyat feels he
has to express something and will express his outrage about the
bombing and about the call for
S. Sure, right.
K. Now, under no circumstances is Scali to say anything.
S. If the press ask
No press. Scali called and said he would
like to see Malik. I told him not toxsee him until I get to talk to
Henry.
K. He should not see Malik. I will do my best
Tell him if
it is an attack on us he should say nothing.
S. I will call Scali with these instructions. You are not to say
anything.
