D: Henry, I have just received telegram to check with you. I will
tell you know. First, in Moscow noted that the President and you
confirmed that you continue to adhere to understanding reached on
the Middle East while you were in Moscow. From our side the Soviet
Government has intentions to continue to do within the framework of
that understanding. Brezhnev asked you to tell the President.
K: I shall tell him this afternoon.
D: Secondly, as far as some rumors that the Soviet Union has tried
to put French against Soviet or United States. this is completely such
nonsense. no need to be regarded. this kind of rumor.
Gromyko has asked me to c;nfirm that the is planning to take part in
conference on Middle East and participate at the beginning.
K: How long?
D: Participate at the beginning stage. He didn't specify.
K: For ur`information, I am planning two days at the most.
D: You won't want a little bit more.
K: As much as I can give.
D: He is not planning to stay very long.
K: That was just for your information.
D: I will gladly check opinions with you on all the questions that rise in
connection with conference.
K: Maybe he and I should have dinner the night before the opening.
D: Not a bad idea.
K: It would be a good symbolic gesture.
