M: There are two organizations in that city that handle funds
in various amounts. One is in Boston and one is in New York.
In New York is the New York Community Trust. It is the best of
the two and they would be happy to handle for you
the purposes you
have inmonind. I would suggest you follow this out and you establish
a fund in your name or in any name you wish for scholarships of
children of Armed Services.
in Viet-Nam. The decisions would be
taken by a committee that would handle it at first and then they would
hand it over
a group at Princeton.
it is a recognized institution
would direct the prize money on your behalf and others who would
like to contribute. I suggest we call it the Henry Kissinger
Fund or the Henry Kissinger Scholarship Fund. I am coming down
tonight.
K: Good. I should set it up and then write the letter.
M: We set it up with one dollar and the it is done..
K: Let's talk about it after your swearing-in . it is much better than
giving to the Viet-Nam thing.
M: I talked to a man up there, a Mr. Herbert West, he said he has
met you. And they were very cooperative and willing to do anything
they can
K: You're very nice. We'll talk about it tomorrow. Can you get it
dange by the end of the week?
M: Fine.
