H: So I think that went very well and I think he'll be helpful back
there because he said to us some things also about French behavior
and that Europe really did have to make a choice and that this couldn't
go on.
K: I think we are going to force the French to head in.
H: Well, I think SO too and I think the most important XX thing we
should do now is to keep this on the concrete issuesx level, that is
that we have now put our finger on the real substantive problems
between us and it is not a personalized thing, it isn't pique with Jobert,
this is the gut issue of our relationship with Europe.
K: And they are going to be put into one impossible position after
another if they drift along.
H: Right.
K: Incidentally, I don't think we should have the energy coordinating
group in Brussels. I don't care where the hell it is.
H: Well, let's keep the next meeting there. One of the things we are
K: No, No. But I don't want after that, to meet in Brussels.
H: Oh, well Bill is coming back I guess tonight and we'll discuss tactics
K: Well, is any serious person going to be with him? You are going to
be over there SO you can sit there with him. I want either you or Hal
to sit in with him.
H: OK, well we'll see how that fits now. We'll probably go through
London on our way to Brussels and the Brussels thing now will be on the
14th. That's the same day Bill should be there.
K: Good, well he just doesn't have the old fighting spirit.
H: Well, we'll see what we can work out. That probably will fit then for
us to be there part of the time.
K: OK, good,thank you.
