I could not stand it any longer. I have been hearing SO many'
compliments of your appearance here on the Hill.
K: Aren't you nice.
S: From all of the sources and all complimentary.
K: Aren't you nice.
S: Well, we all have a growing appreciation for your hard work and
effectiveness.
K: I am touched by you.
S: I rejoice. It makes me feel good. There is a need for showing
strength without going into the reasons.
K: I think we both know that.
S: And you are supplying that and that is just fine.
K: You have been a great supporter and a great patriot.
S: If I can back you in anyway I want to do it. Before you had come out here
I had gotten through your
K: I just saw it.
S: Your first obligation is before the other, but I hope you can come before
our Committee. Our Committee would be stimulated if you could
find the time. I don't want to overstrain you.
K: Oh damn it. You wanted me to come today.
S: No, no. Friday is not a good day anyway. I thought I would mention it if
you could come.
K: As it turns out it wouldn't have worked. I had to meet with the
Congressional leaders at the White House.
S: That's right.
