S: Hi, Henry.
K: Hello, Mr. Secretary-designate.
S: How are you, sir.
K: OK.
S: I wanted to talk to you just briefly about lesser developed nations and aid
programs and everything that's being suggested. We have no real domestic
plan. Iran has one, Saudi Arabia has one, everybody's coming up with a
different idea. What I'd like to suggest is that the State Department and the
Treasury Department get together and I'll just have Volker and (Denite) get
together with whomever you please, to get together a United States Government
posture on aid for the lesser developed nations as far as the oil problem is
concerned.
K: On these bilateral things.
S: Well, it perhaps could be a topic and this is just one suggesting, for the
producer-comsumer meeting. Maybe that is the proper form to handle lesser
developed nations.
K: I, 11 have Sisco, Donaldson andx, Enders on my side.
S: OK, and I'll have Volker and Dixxi Denite.
K: Good. But we should include in this also these various bilateral deals.
S: Sure.
K: I think it's a good idea.
S: Great, well I'll get it going right now because I think it's ixxpooxjixxx important
before we get in a corner.
K: Right.
S: Wonder ful. Thanks, Henry.
