TELECON
Ambassador Dinitz/Secretary Kissinger
July 10, 1974
6:00 PM
D: Mr. Secretary, welcome back to Washington.
K: How are YOU?
D: How are You?
K: I'm fine.
D: I understand you had a very brief and convincing appearance today.
K: I said no three times.
D: That's right. If remember you correctly it sometimes took you much
long longer to say yes then to say no.
K: That is true.:
D: How is Nancy?
K:
She's fine. Listen, I've had an
hysterical call again from
Rita Hauser.
D: Yes I know, she called me.
K: Now, do you agree with her?
D: I did not know what she said to you. I would have to
K: She says you and she are agreed that I'm in moral danger.
D: No, IXXIX no.
K: And that there are a lot of people ganging up on me.
D: I had a long talk with her yesterday. We sat for about an hour and half
together and I analysed some of the situations as I did with Larry. Which I'm
sure Larry told you.
K: Not yet.
D: Which is a realistic assessment I think of some of factors that are operating
in the scene which I'd be more than gxted glad to share it with you. But it's by
kxxxxxxxxxx
no means a panic situation.
