TELECON Sir John Killie/Secretary Kissinger July 17, 1974 7:45 PM K: Sir, I didn't want to bother you personally but I'm calling on behalf of Jim Callaghan. Our Turk friends have just left us. There will be no agreed statement tonight. Callaghan put to them the suggestion of a meeting with Sisco or Ingersol. They are very happy to do that tomorrow morning. They don't want it to be a trilateral meeting. They would like to receive him at their own Embassy. HAK: That's agreeable to us. K: Iwanted you to know that. HAK: It's going to be Sisco and he should be thereabout 9:00 in the morning. We'll get word to you confirming X it. K: It would be helpful if someone informed our own Embassy of that information. HAK: I've given Ramsbotham some reflections I have on the situation. K: I'll expect a cable from him. HAK: You've received one? K: No, I'll's expect one. HAK: Perhaps the Foreign Secretary would like to see it. K: Thank you very much. END
