Well, I think we'll get it under control. I called you primarily
about a story in the Washington Post today about the gas deal.
V:
Yeah, I read it.
K:
And I want your leaders to know that this was put out by the middle
levels of the government, it does not reflect our policy.
V:
Yes, we conferred about the real explanation from Peterson
and from Lynd, so we know the story a little bit.

Don't pay any attention to it. /I told the ambassambr last week
and what the President wrote to the General Secretary is our policy.
V:
Right. Good, I'll report that and that will be helpful.

And on the other thing, are you progressing?

Well, we're trying to set up--you've seen the message.

Yes, you haven't heard from them yet?

Yes, they've now replied and I think that after a few more exchanges
we'll settle on a date.
