VISIT WITH MISS HELEN COTTON
THE WHITE HOUSE
TUESDAY, APRIL 29, 1969
THE PRESIDENT:
At 10:00 a. m. you and the First Lady will be escorted from
your office to the colonnade outside for a brief visit with the following
persons:
Miss Helen Cotton
Mr. Harold B. Cotton, father
Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Hotchkiss, sister and husband
Mr. Robert Cotton
Congressman Thomas J. Meskill, Connecticut
Mr. Lewis B. Andrews, Jr., Assistant to
the Congressman
NOTE:
The Cotton Family will have just completed
a special tour of the White House conducted
by Mr. Davies,
BACKGROUND:
Miss Cotton of Granby, Connecticut is a victim of
cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheel chair.
Arrangements had been made for Miss Cotton
to attend the Inauguration, but she was unable to
do SO because of her illness.
She is an ardent Republican who worked hard for
you during the campaign. She is currently involved
in organizing a Young GOP Club in Granby.
