Burnham, Jr. President Imperial Artists Corporation 630 Fifth Avenue New York, New York Dear Bill: I received the record player in excellent condition and greatly appreciate your taking care of ordering it for me. I have not received the bill, however, and trust you will send that on. We have been discussing the Voices for Nixon proposal and I hope to be able to get back to you with some definite information very shortly. I c ompletely agree with you that the Boss did very well for himself on "Open End" the other night. The response has been terrific and 100% favorable. I am looking forward to seeing you before too long, and thanks again very much for taking care of the record player. Best regards. Sincerely, H. R. Haldeman HRH:cfo IMPERIA IMPERIAL ARTISTS CORPORATION 630 FIFTH AVENUE NEW YORK COLUMBUS 5- 6578 MAY 17, 1960 MR. ROBERT HALDEMAN NIXON VOLUNTEERS P. O. Box 7398 WASHINGTON, D. C. DEAR BoB: I SINCERELY HOPE YOU RECEIVED THE VICTROLA IN GOOD WORKING ORDER AND THAT IT WAS ALL YOU ANTICIPATED IT TO BE. I WOULD LIKE VERY MUCH TO HEAR FROM YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE ON RALPH HUNTER AND THE "VOICES FOR NIXON" SUBMISSION BE- CAUSE SEVERAL DEALS ARE PENDING. WE WORK FAR IN ADVANCE ON BOOKINGS. CONSEQUENTLY, I WOULD NOT WANT TO KEEP HIM OUT OF A DEAL IF YOU AND YOUR ASSOCIATES DO NOT FEEL THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF OUR EVENTUALLY GETTING TOGETHER ON THIS PROGRAM. I THOUGHT THE Boss DID VERY WELL FOR HIMSELF ON "OPEN END" THE OTHER NIGHT. WARMEST PERSONAL REGARDS. SINCERELY, Bil WILLIAM A. BURNHAM, JR. PRESIDENT WAB/LAB HOME - Privite DEERFIELD7-0203 DEERFIELD hye. home BRONXVILLE, NY. CAP 7- 1573 WBstport PONN ORPORATION IMPERIAL ARTISTS CORPORATION 630 FIFTH AVENUE NEW YORK COLUMBUS 5-6578 MARCH 7, 1960 DEAR BoB: I TRIED TO REACH YOU BY PHONE A COUPLE OF TIMES AS I WANTED TO ADVISE YOU THAT OUR AGENCY HAS BEEN CHOSEN TO DO THE SHOW FOR THE REPUBLICAN WOMEN'S RALLY AT THE ULINE ARENA ON APRIL 4TH. I HAVE LINED UP WHAT I THINK IS A GREAT PROGRAM CONSISTING OF MAHALIA JACKSON, SAM LEVENSON, SAMMY KAYE, ROBERTA PETERS AND RALPH HUNTER DOING THE "POLITICS AND POKER" NUMBER FROM "FIORELLO." RALPH HUNTER IS THE BOY I SPOKE TO YOU ABOUT WITH THE IDEA OF USING HIM IN THE FALL TO GO INTO EACH CITY WHERE THE Boss INTENDS TO MAKE A MAJOR SPEECH AND HAVE HIM ORGANIZE THE LOCAL GLEE CLUBS INTO A BIG CHORUS TO SING ROUSING SONGS BEFORE INTRODUCING THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, RICHARD NIXON. GETTING BACK TO THE APRIL 4TH SHOW, NATURALLY I AM PLANTING IDEAS IN ALL THESE ARTISTS MINDS REGARDING THE Boss AND PLANNING HOW WE CAN BEST USE THEM WHEN THE TIME COMES. I UNDERSTAND THERE WILL BE A CAST PARTY AFTER THE SHOW IN HONOR OF THE Boss WHICH WILL CERTAINLY BE A BIG HELP. I HOPE THIS FINDS YOU ALL OVER YOUR COLD AND BACK TO YOUR FIGHTING SELF. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU SOON. WITH BEST WISHES, SINCERELY, Bill WILLIAM /A. BURNHAM, JR. MR. ROBERT FINCH OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT SENATE OFFICE BUILDING WASHINGTON, D. C.
