Friday, July 02, 2010 Page 1 of 1 ACTION MEMO Clawson should develop a plan for a wire service and/or a network man or a columnist to write a letter to every member of the Senate saying that in view of the charges that IT&T has done favors for the Senators, I believe that it's important to clear the record and I would, therefore, appreciate your response to the two following questions. 1. Have you ever had a contribution to any of your campaigns from an officer of IT&T or any of its subsidiaries. If so, when and in what amount? 2. Have you ever accepted any transportation or complimentary hotel facilities from IT&T or any of its subsidiaries? Any answers that are received on this could then be used in a column but obviously it'll be ignored by a number of Senators and those who decline to answer should be listed in the column.
