Friday, April 15, 2011 Page 1 of 1 TALKING PAPER FOR THE PRESIDENT Re: WESTERN WHITE HOUSE MAINTENANCE Ken Kammeyer currently charges $12,000 per annum to professionally landscape and maintain San Clemente. The actual work is done by Hal Lynch, who Mrs. Nixon works with and reportedly likes. Lynch does not take directions well from Kalmbach. Gavin Herbert has offered to do at least as good a job as Kammeyer for $3,500 per annum. Either the $12,000 or $3,500. is taken from your personal expense account by Kalmbach. Kalmbach says there is neither a gift tax nor contribution problem in accepting Gavin Herbert's offer. The question is whether Mrs. Nixon prefers working with H&l Lynch to saving $8,500 per annum. 03:elr 10-4-71
