JEB MAGRUDER FROM: ALEXANDER P. BUTTERFIELD SUBJECT: Increasing Political Activity of Teenagers There have been a number of articles lately (as I am sure you have noticed) concerning excited 18- and 19-year-olds plunging headlong into the political arena. Most of what has been written thus far accentuates the cause of the Democrats and points an accusing finger at the alleged shortcomings of Nixon Administration policies. Please submit through the Staff Secretary a plan for generating some vocal and enthusiastic 18-and 19-year-old support for our side - some evidence of a loyal following in this age group to give balance to, but preferably smother, the noises being made by the opposition. Thank you.
