Dear Mr. Chapin:
On March 13 - 15, the Young Republican National Federation
will again sponsor its Leadership Training School. As one
who is familiar with the programs of the Young Republicans,
I am sure you will recall that it is to this school that
Club leaders from all of our fifty states will come and will
carry back with them even more enthusiasm nnd knowledge for
dealing with the large measure of their political tasks.
The Young Republicans are very aware of the many contributions
you made toward accomplishing our Republican victory in 1968,
as well as the stature you have now attained in accepting the
tremendous responsibility of helping President Nixon to achieve
his difficult but worthwhile goals. Certainly no explanation
is needed when I tell you that it would mean so much to each
of these young people -- and future leaders of our Republican
Party - to have the opportunity and privilege of meeting you
personally. So, on behalf of Victor Kamber, Chairman of the
Leadership Training School, I would like to invite you to a
reception being given to honor you, the Cabinet, and other
distinguished guests of LTS. This party has been planned for
Friday, March 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Shoreham Hotel
(Empire Room). I sincerely hope that your schedule will per-
LTS
mit you to come.
It would be very much appreciated if you could let me know
69
within the next few days, if we may look forward to having
the pleasure of your company at this party.
Sincerely yours,
joy Enford
