The Hon, Barry Goldwater
Senate Office Building
Washington, D. C.
My dear Barry:
Thanks for your patience, your interest, your attention
and your friendship. I am truly grateful.
Though this does not preclude my doing other chores in
the upcoming campaign, I have agreed to serve as co-
chairman with Anna Chennault in her effort to enlist
Americans in Asian countries to (1) vote and (2) to
contribute to the Presidential campaign.
Rest assured, sir, that I shall exert my best efforts
in that and in any other direction which is needed to
keep Mr. Nixon as our President.
Cordially,
J. Raymond Bell

The Honorable John Ehrlichman
The White House
Washington, D. C.
Dear John:
You were simply terrific in Philadelphia.
We could not have had a finer finale. After
listening to and looking at you I know the ladies
went home one thousand strong to work twice as
hard. Your personal touches about the President
were so interesting.
I appreciate more than I can say your wonder-
ful cooperation in everything I have ever asked.
Thanks for your nice letter. The gratitude
should be flowing the other way. Hope you and
Jody and Bob had a wonderful tour.
Best to you and my warmest thanks.
Sincerely,
Ciuce
Mrs. Tobin Armstrong

Dear Mrs. Armstrong:
John Ehrlichman has asked me to contact you regarding his
appearance at the Republican luncheon at the Bellevue Stratford
Hotel in Philadelphia on Saturday, May 20.
I would most appreciate your general guidance on this appearance
and your assistance in answering the following questions:
1.
To whom will he be speaking?
2.
How large is the group -- and what is its composition?
3.
Could you provide a list of those who will be at the Head Table?
4.
How much time should he plan to fill?
5.
Will there be a question and answer session?
6.
How much press coverage do you anticipate?
7.
Who will introduce him?
8.
Would it be possible to arrange transportation to and from
the airport?
9.
In addition, Mr. Ehrlichman would most appreciate having
your guidance or recommendations regarding the content
of his address.
Your assistance in helping us coordinate this event is most appreciated
and I know Mr. Ehrlichman is looking forward to this appearance.
Sincerely yours,
Tod R. Hullin
