SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 1969
THE PRESIDENT:
At 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Virginia Knauer will be escorted to your
office for a brief informal discussion before her Swearing-In Ceremony.
At 11:15 a.m. you and Mrs. Knauer will be escorted from your office to
the Roosevelt Room where you will be met by Judge Catherine Kelly,
(District Court of Appeals). A single stand-up microphone will be
provided for your brief welcoming remarks.
Judge Kelly will administer the oath of office to:
The Honorable Virginia Knauer as
Special Assistant to the President
For Consumer Affairs.
It is suggested that you make brief concluding remarks and you
then will be escorted back to your office. It is estimated that your
participation will be of approximately 10 minutes duration.
There will be 10-15 invited guests.
NOTE:
There will be press coverage of the event.
