THE PRESIDENT HAS SEEM. A WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS ASSOCIATION DINNER WASHINGTON - HILTON HOTEL SATURDAY, MAY 3, 1969 page. THE PRESIDENT: At approximately 8:00 p. m. you will depart the White House by motorcade arriving at the VIP entrance to the Washington Hilton Hotel at about 8:06 p. m. You will be met there by Mr. Carroll Kilpatrick, President of the White House Correspondents' Association, Mr. Charles W. Bailey, II, President-designate of the Association, and Mr. Bill McNair, Manager of the Washington Hilton Hotel. You will be escorted into the Hotel and will then descend one floor in the private elevator (those accompanying you, with the excep- tion of the Secret Service Agents, will use the stairs due to the small size of the elevator). From the elevator you will be escorted through the Cabinet Room across the hall and pause at the door to the Inter- national Ballroom. Ruffles and Flourishes will be played by the American Feder- ation of Musicians Orchestra, you will be announced and then proceed to your right to the head table as "Hail to the Chief" is played. Mr. Kilpatrick and Mr. Bailey will accompany you to the center of the table. Mr. Kilpatrick will have the seat to your left and Mr. Bailey will be to your right. The dress is black tie and there will be approximately 1, 600 persons in attendance. You will remain standing at your place until the National Anthem has been played. Dinner will then be served.
