REMARKS TO
NATIONAL FEDERATION OF
GOP WOMEN
3:15 P.M.
Friday, September 26, 1969
The President:
At 3:15 p.m. you will depart your oval office, accompanied by
Mrs. Nixon and selected senior staff members, and proceed
to the platform which will be positioned at the north edge of the
south grounds (see attached diagram). Approximately 3, 000
members of the National Federation of GOP Women will be
assembled on the grounds. Half of these women will have
already received a tour of the residence and, following your
remarks, the other half will be conducted on the same tour.
Upon arrival at the platform you will be introduced by
Mrs. Nixon. Following the introduction you will deliver
brief welcoming remarks and introduce to your guests those
staff members who have accompanied you to the south lawn.
NOTE:
Suggested remarks are attached.
There will be full press coverage of your remarks.
Immediately following your remarks you will return to your office.
Mrs. Nixon and those staff members who accompanied you out to
the speaking platform will remain on the south grounds and mingle
with your guests.
It is expected that your participation will not exceed 10 minutes.
