TV SPOT: HONOR AMERICA DAY FILM
My fellow Americans: I am proud to be a part of this tribute
to our Nation as it celebrates its 195th birthday - - - and as we enter
the Bicentennial Era, leading up to its 200th birthday just five
years from now.
This is truly a day for thanksgiving - - a day to give thanks
for the blessings of liberty, and to pay honor to those who established
and who have maintained our liberties. We honor America today
not simply because we are Americans, but because we are proud
and grateful for what America is, and for what it means to ourselves
and to others. For ours is a great Nation. Ours is a good Nation.
Its goodness comes from the hearts of its people, and its greatness
comes from the spirit of its people. As we continue striving to
make its founders' dream a reality for all, let us do SO confident
in our purpose and with faith in that dream.
